Happy Birthday Jesus Coloring Page Place Mats

 Fun, free printable coloring pages and instructions for how to turn them into place mats!

It seems as soon as Thanksgiving is over my children’s attention shift to what they want for Christmas.  (Actually, my oldest has been thinking about it for at least a week or two!)  Of course, it doesn’t help that all around them seems to be focused on gifts, shopping, toys, and so much stuff!  

We love buying our children presents and seeing their faces as they open each present but I want to be sure that does not become the focus at our house.  So I create this coloring page to turn into a place mat.  I also thought it would be really fun to put the Christmas story on the back, so we could read the story over and over again.

I also plan on taking this church and letting my 1-3rd grade class make them here in a couple weeks.  I think they will really enjoy it. 

These are really, really easy to make.  So I’m not going to give you step by step directions.  I went ahead and printed them on two different sheets and then glued them together but you could print on front and back of one sheet but you would probably want to use card stock or thicker paper then.  

I just used scrap paper to make the corner but you could do a border around the whole thing using construction paper or scrapbook paper.  I plan to cut borders, stars, triangles for corners, etc to take to Sunday school when we do the project there.  You will also want to laminate them or cover them with contact paper to make them last.
