I love peach pie and peach cobbler but if I’m completely honest, I have to admit that I don’t really like crust all that much. So I took some of my freezable peach pie filling and combined it with an apple crisp recipe I’ve used for many years.
Peach Pie Crisp
Servings: 9 people
- 1 can peach pie filling or 1 pkg of freezable peach pie filling thawed
- 1/2 cup flour
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup oatmeal
- 3/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/3 cup butter melted
Preheat oven to 375.
Pour peach filling into 8 by 8 baking dish sprayed with no-stick spray.
Combine dry ingredients and mix in butter. Spread over peach filling.
Bake for 30 minutes. Serve warm and with ice cream if desired.
It turned out really yummy, though it is pretty sweet. So a little bowl is all I needed to satisfy my sweet tooth. You could also probably go a little lighter on the brown sugar.
Do you prefer pie, cobbler or a fruit crisp? And what is your favorite fruit in desserts?
