This Chocolate Coffee Depression Cake is moist and delicious, made from scratch, and uses no eggs, milk, or butter. A long time ago, a friend told me she had made a Depression Cake. I was interested by it, so I looked into how to make one and loved that it was an easy cake made from scratch. However, I never got around to trying it until now. A Depression Cake is a cake made with no eggs, no milk, and no butter. It doesn’t require a bowl, as all the ingredients are mixed in the pan you’ll bake it

Pina Colada Cake is a delicious poke cake with pineapple and cream of coconut. This is a perfect cake for summer bbq’s. It is a cake that is very rich and great for sharing. This is an updated version of a recipe that I posted in 2013. I thought it was one that many of you may have missed and since it’s such a delicious cake, I’m re-sharing it today. The pictures have been updated but the rest of the post remains the same. Hope you love this recipe as much as we do! Lucy’s birthday is Friday! And although she
Dairy-free, egg-free Depression Cake is moist and delicious! I shared a recipe a while back for a depression cake that was chocolate & coffee flavored. The pictures were not-so-good, so I decided to make it again to take new pictures. While I was at it, I thought it would be fun to try to make a vanilla depression cake as well, and I’m glad I did! Yellow cake with chocolate frosting was the recipe I always chose for my birthday cake as a kid. And while this recipe is a very light yellow cake, it is still perfectly topped with
Traditional coffee cake flavors with a layer of sweet fruit make this blueberry coffee cake a winner for brunch or a coffee date with friends. I haven’t really been interested in baking or cooking lately. In fact, it’s been quite awhile since I’ve made anything new. I just haven’t felt like it and while I’ve still been making dinner and did some baking for Christmas, I haven’t been at all creative with it. But when I invited a friend over for coffee and she teased that she expected something amazing to eat, I actually felt like baking. I had blueberries

And what’s better than adding both Oreos & Peppermint to an already delicious chocolate cake! I absolutely love both Oreos & peppermint. And I love them combined with chocolate! So I added them all together in this cake and it turned out delicious! So if you’re looking for an amazing yet really easy cake to make for your holiday get-togethers or parties try this one out. Flavorful and delicious apricot upside-down cake is a fun spin on the old classic! A friend of mine offered apricot trees for me to pick this year. The one tree was loaded. Like seriously loaded with fruit. The limbs were bent down so far my kids were able to help pick, and we loaded up a bucketful plus a cooler full (since I couldn’t find any other buckets at that moment). We brought the apricots home, and then had to try and decide what to do with them. I knew I wanted to prep some to make jam with Kerry
Minty, creamy Copycat Asphalt Pie. Better than Winger’s! We don’t order dessert often when we go out. By the time we eat, we rarely have the appetite to eat a dessert, plus restaurant desserts are typically pretty high priced. However, asphalt pie from Winger’s would be the exception. I would purposely not finish my dinner, just to save room for asphalt pie. The minty flavor is so delicious, and the yummy caramel sauce over the top just makes it perfect! For my birthday this year, I decided I didn’t want a cake, I wanted asphalt pie. Now, before you go
Easy, minty & chocolaty this Mint Oreo Ice Cream cake is sure to please! Plus some easy Lego Party decorating ideas! It was my oldest son’s birthday earlier this month. And at this point in this life, he loves Legos and he loves Oreo Ice Cream Cake. But as we were talking about what he wanted to do for his birthday this year, he mentioned how much he like mint chocolate chip ice cream. I thought why not change up our normal ice cream cake and make a mint OREO ice cream cake this time. And it was amazing!
