We’ve had a lot of up and down weather here in Idaho. It has been a pretty cool spring, so while I’m patiently {ok, not at all patiently} waiting for summer weather to finally arrive, I’m daydreaming about moving to Australia. I had friends move to Australia right after college and I always thought living there would be fun.
So daydream with me about 10 Awesome Reasons to Move to Australia.
- The Weather – While I’m sure the weather is not always perfect in Australia, it’s much more temperate than here and since I’m tired of the cold, that sounds perfect right now.
- Sydney – The Opera house, coastal attractions, the harbor, fine dining, and so much more would be so fun to explore.
- Great Barrier Reef – If you know nothing else about Australia, you know about this and wouldn’t it be just amazing to see it in person?!
- The Beaches – If you’ve ever seen a picture of an Australian beach, you know what I’m talking about. Gorgeous!
- The Australian Open – I love tennis and am tuned into the Australian Open every year, so it would be awesome to head to Melbourne and check that out in person.
- Trips to the Outback – While my dream of living in Australia doesn’t really include living in the Outback, it sure would be fun to visit!
- The Food – I pretty much love the food wherever I am but I’d love to try out their barbecue or fish n chips. Also if you’re a wine drinker, I’ve heard they have amazing wineries!
- The People/Accent – While I don’t know a ton of Australians, all I’ve met have been very friendly plus they have one of the best accents. Wouldn’t it be awesome to be surrounded by that every day? Plus they have the most amazing slang and learning that would be lots of fun too.
- Kangaroos & Other Amazing wildlife – Australia is home to so much wildlife that isn’t found anywhere else and it would be amazing to see it!
- Cricket – I’m a big sports fan in general and would love to be able to check out and watch cricket. It’s just not at all popular around here but it looks like it would be a fun game to get in to.
What do you think would be amazing about living in Australia? And if you are ready to turn your daydream into a reality, check out land for sale in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, or Perth and start building a home with your loved ones.
Don’t forget to pin!

Australia is on our bucket list to visit. I'm with you on the Idaho weather not being awesome so much of the time. Living someplace warm all the time is the perfect solution.
