52 Reasons I Love You

You may have noticed that I am the one who doesn’t craft. It may have something to do with the fact that crafting irritates me. I get annoyed that things don’t turn out how I pictured in my head. I can’t cut straight. I get glue every where. I have terrible handwriting. I could go on and on.

I also can’t sew. I own a sewing machine and even have it set up in the office. But it and I don’t get along. I am good with the computer, gardening and cooking/baking. Oh and math. But not crafting.

I was scrolling through Pinterest a couple years ago, when I saw this craft that I wanted to try. It’s only taken me 2 years to make it. I thought it wouldn’t be too bad even though it requires cutting, gluing, and writing. This is actually quite simple.

52 Reasons I Love You

The things you will need for the 52 Reasons I love You “book.”

A deck of cards (54 cards. Regular plus jokers)
2 books rings
Colorful paper
Markers
Glue

You can use an old worn out deck or new or anything in between. Simply punch 2 holes in each card. I punched one then flipped it over to use as a template. Use the template card as the back of the “book.”

Valentine's Card Book

The last two pages of the book. Turn the last one backwards so the front of the card shows on both the front and the back.

Punch holes in all 54 cards. Then using the book rings bind all the cards together. Set aside. Cut paper into small rectangles that will fit on the front of the cards. I used fancy scissors so my crooked cutting didn’t matter so much. One needs to say 52 Reasons I Love You. The rest can say whatever you want. Here a couple of the pages I made.

It’s fun to come up with all the reasons. If you have a little trouble, here is a list someone else made. I asked a friend for help and it got a little dirty, and I won’t be sharing the rest of the book with anyone but The Hardworking Husband. It will be so fun to give this to him for Valentine’s Day. He will be as surprised as everyone else that I crafted.

Thanks so much Kait. At first felt a little too bright, but The Hardworking Husband really wouldn't like a pastel one.

I have had so much fun making it. It might be one of those ideas The Hardworking Husband thinks is crazy. But I know he'll cherish it anyway. Thanks for pinning.
