Apples, Pears & some veggies make for a delicious & seasonal smoothie.
I love eating seasonally. Eating the fruit and vegetables in season just makes sense. Not only is it the cheapest way to go but it also lets me eat different fruits all year round without getting tired of them. Of course, we do use frozen fruits and veggies throughout the year as well especially in the winter. {Need help with the best way to freeze fruits & vegetables? So we’ve arrived at fall. And personally, I love the vegetable choices with pumpkins, sweet potatoes, winter squash, and the leftover zucchini and summer squash. {Do you love winter squash too? Check out these 20+ awesome winter squash recipes!}
But the fruit choices are much more limited this time of year. Luckily, I’m a big fan of apples and pears. {I’m such a big fan of apples that I did two roundups of apple recipes this year: 25 Apple Baked Goods Recipes and 20 Breakfast, Snack & other Apple recipes.} So I’m combining those two fruits into a yummy and very “fally” smoothie.

I made this with unsweetened rice milk instead of apple juice and it was delicious. I highly recommend. I used one sugar pear, a whole apple, and 1 cup of spinach. it was gone in minutes it was so good.
