A cute Bunny Cake tutorial that anyone can make! No cake making experience required, and a cutting template is included!
Making a bunny cake is usually something that happens at Easter. When my youngest insisted she only wanted a bunny cake for her August birthday, I obliged. I thought we’d do something Pinterest worthy, but she was insistent on what she wanted, and this is the cake she was sure was perfect to celebrate her 7th birthday.
The best part about making this cake is that it doesn’t require any specialty pans. It’s such an easy cake to make. Just bake 2 round cakes, cut one of them and rearrange the pieces, and it’s ready to frost!
How do you cut a bunny cake?
Here’s an Easter bunny cake pattern showing how to cut a round cake into the bunny ears and bowtie to make this cake. Use small cutting strokes to avoid making a mess of the cake while cutting.
One cake round becomes the bunny head, and the other is transformed into ears and a bowtie, using this template. It’s incredibly simple.
