Dark Red & Delicious Cranberry Raspberry Punch & a surprise birthday party decorated with red roses & decorations.
Kerry turned 40 in December!! Her husband wanted to throw her a surprise party! So he, my mother & I planned & threw her a birthday party at my house in late December. She was so surprised!
We had a lot of fun planning the party & a lot of fun at the party! And I’m finally getting around to share the amazing punch recipe from it & some of the details of her party!
Kerry’s favorite color is red so we used red balloons & curly ribbon to decorate. We printed out a “Happy Birthday Kerry” sign & put it on the wall, so she would see it right when she walked in the door.
We used red roses & some complimentary flowers in mason jars as the centerpiece on the main table & also as decoration on the cake & punch table! My mom insisted we have 40 red roses! So it was really pretty with all the beautiful red roses.
We kept the food pretty simple & had all of Kerry’s friends bring an appetizer. My mom made her famous cheese balls & another friend brought crockpot meatballs.
I made this amazing Cranberry Raspberry punch for the party. I misunderstood my mom recipe but I thought it turned out so well, that I made the punch exactly like this again for Christmas. This punch is also a beautiful red color, so it went perfectly with the theme of the party!

This was so tasty and easy. I couldn’t find the exact juice so I used 1 frozen cranberry and 1 frozen apple raspberry. It turned out so good and had so many compliments. Will use this at many more parties now.

I want some right now!!! Red is also my favorite color - I like that the party used red instead of black. I threw my Mom a surprise 40th birthday party and everything in the house was black - she got a kick out of it. Everyone should have a surprise party some time in their lives.

Nice theme. Very simple and kept to the guest of honor's preference.
