Dark Chocolate Hot Cocoa

Dark Chocolate Hot Cocoa is a very chocolaty hot cocoa. It is the most delicious and decadent hot cocoa you’ve ever had. It is a perfect indulgence for a cold snowy day.

It has snowed a ton this winter here in Idaho. Most everyone is over the snow and it’s only January. In the town I live in, we have gotten over 60 inches of snow. Our average is about 45 inches.

We have come to a point that we don’t know where to put the snow anymore and we are paying people to haul it away.

I am one of the few that isn’t over the snow yet. I love snow. After living in Texas for some years, I appreciate the snow more than ever.

If you have ever lived in a place that it snows often, you know that on the days that it doesn’t snow, it gets really cold. The clouds that produce the snow also are like a blanket that holds the little bit of heat we have in. So whether it’s snowing or not, it is cold.

What better way to warm up than with hot cocoa. I wanted a twist on regular hot cocoa. I love dark chocolate and thought it would be a great spin on hot cocoa.  So I created Dark Chocolate Hot Cocoa.

The Peppermint Snowflake Marshmallows I shared a few weeks ago go perfectly with this hot cocoa.
