Homemade Season Salt is so easy to make and a great way to make sure you know what is in your food. This season salt has only what you want in it.
I love making my own seasonings because I have control of what’s in it. First off, it doesn’t have any of the chemical garbage in it. And secondly, I can control how much sodium is actually in it. I have been making my own season salt for a while. I put less salt because I often pair it with other seasoning that has salt in it also. I use season salt on steaks and hamburgers when I grill among other things.
Store bought season salt often has fillers, preservatives, and anti-caking ingredients. I don’t know about you but I don’t like consuming those.
What is Seasoned Salt made of?
Seasoned salt is a blend of salt, herbs, and spices.
Is Seasoning Salt and Seasoned Salt and Season Salt the same things?
Yes, they are the same thing. It depends on where you live as to what you call it.

You guys are so clever. I definitely want to keep the sodium low but still add flavor. Thanks for the tip. BTW, I found you over on Sverve and I'm following.

I'm so glad you found us. The Hardworking Husband loves salt so I try to keep it low when I'm cooking because he will always add more.

I have got to make this, I bet it would make for an excellent rub on steak and would be fabulous on potatoes!

It is great on potatoes. Being an Idaho girl, we eat potatoes a lot. I haven't tried it as a rub. I might have to do that. I have only sprinkled it on.
