It’s hard to believe another year is coming to a close. It seems like time just flies as my children grow up. I heard someone say that the days are long and the years and short and I have found that to be true over and over again.
I have purposely not planned very much over the kids Christmas break from school. We’ve had a chance to slow down and enjoy each other. Which was a much needed break after a crazy fall! I’m not looking forward them going back to school and the busyness to pick up again.
While I don’t really make new year resolutions, I’ve been reminded over & over this last year that life is fleeting and you better make the most of it while you have a chance. So this year, I plan to not let the busyness of life keep us from really living at our house. I plan to say yes to things and finally do those things we’ve talked about forever, like snowshoeing! (Anyone tried it?) And I plan to slow down & look at the people that God has placed in my life. I mean really look at them! Whether they be my kids, friends, or neighbors, I don’t think any of them are in my life by chance or I’m in any of their lives by chance.
So I hope all of you readers have an awesome New Year & that you put living on the top of your list for the New Year! I hope you hug your babies, or grandbabies, or nieces, or nephews often & never forget that you only get them for a little while. I hope you laugh often deep & hard and I hope you focus on the joys of life more than the sorrow! And I hope you know how much you are loved by the God of the universe – loved enough that he sent his son! And I hope you take the time to know & love the people in your life. Happy New Year readers! We are so thankful for you!
