Giving a Cow

We are taking a break from our Homemade Christmas series to “Give a Cow!” No, no, not have a cow but give a cow.  We are selling these fabulous shirts to raise money to buy a cow through World Vision.

Give A Cow - Buy a Shirt and Help Buy a Cow for a needy family

A HUGE thank you to our friend Devin for designing the cow for us! You’re awesome.

These super cute t-shirts are only $15.  All proceeds from these shirts will be given to World Vision for the purchase of a cow. Go to our Teespring Campaign page to learn all about giving a cow through world vision and/or to order a shirt. Even if you don’t want to order one, swing by the page and share it with your friends on social media.

Fundraising Through Teespring / Fundraising the Easy Way!

Fundraising through Teespring

If you have ever been involved in fundraising you know often it can be a pretty big pain in the neck! Often you have to sell overpriced merchandise that nobody really wants and often you don’t make very much.
And if you have ever dealt with selling t-shirts you know that can be a huge pain as well. You never seem to get the right amount, are stuck with tons of leftovers, someone always complains that you didn’t get their size right, and you don’t make very much money for your fundraiser.

That’s where Teespring is different. People order directly through them. They deal with the sizes, they do the shipping and you always get the right amount! Better yet there is no risk. If you don’t meet your shirt goal, no one gets charged, the shirts don’t get made and you aren’t out any money.

What is Teespring?

Teespring is a crowdfunding platform for groups, causes and communities to design and sell custom high quality apparel to raise funds. Anyone can come and design a shirt which they can then sell via Facebook, Twitter or anywhere else online. The seller keeps all of the profit the shirt earns.

How It Works

It’s really pretty easy, just head over to Teespring and click “get started.” Then you will design your shirt. You can upload your own graphic or use one of theirs.  Add your words and pick your t-shirt color. A couple notes, if you are having trouble changing stuff, change browsers and the simpler the graphic, the cheaper the base price.

They will give you a base price, how much they will get for every shirt, and then you set your price. Whatever is over the cost of the shirt is your profit. Set your goal, how many shirts you need to sell before they will make them and how long you want to keep the campaign open. Then share your campaign link with your friends, family, etc on Facebook, Twitter, through email or however you would like.

What Makes it Better

This whole process was really easy and so much better than going door to door or selling stuff that nobody wants to your friends and family. And it’s so easy to customize that you could make shirts for any group or any fundraiser you wanted to. You could make them for your school, MOPS group, youth group, or to raise money for a charity or adoption. Or maybe you just have a big dream like buying a cow for someone but know you could never do it on your own.

Since you sell online, you can sell to people you normally wouldn’t be able to. And it’s no problem to sell to your best friend thousands of miles away since they do the shipping. Your friends can also share your campaign with their friends and so on.

And best of all, there is no risk. You don’t meet your goal, they don’t print and no one is out any money.
