Today is Kerry’s birthday!!! Happy birthday to my fabulously, wonderful sister. Run over to one of her recent posts (Ginger Snaps or Homemade Snickers) and wish her a happy birthday! Don’t worry I’ll wait. Or you can drop her a birthday note on our Facebook page.
I hope you have had a chance to check out some of our sharing time posts. I know Christmas time can get crazy busy so if you haven’t that’s okay too. If you have had a chance to read any of them you may have noticed the theme of grace running through all of them: giving yourself grace and giving others grace. Today I’m going to talk about the most important grace of all, the grace that was given to us.
Thousands of years ago, God sent Jesus to earth as a baby born in a manger. But he didn’t stay a baby in a manger. No, he was born to die. He was born to grow up, living a perfect, sin free life and then be the sacrifice for our sins. And he was born not just to die but also to rise again and live!
And this was God’s plan of grace all along. It was God’s plan from the beginning to send Jesus. He didn’t just wake up one morning and decide to send an angel to Mary letting her know she’s about to have a baby. No, this was his grace plan.
This is what Christmas is all about, God’s grace. God’s grace that came in the form of a sweet little baby. God’s grace that came to us that first Christmas and can come to you this Christmas as well.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God. Eph 2:8 <—– Tweet This
We pray that you will have a very wonderful and merry Christmas with your family and friends this Christmas. But more importantly we pray that you will know God’s grace this Christmas.
YOUR TURN
What do think Christmas is all about? How do you celebrate Christmas?
We will be taking the next week off to celebrate Christmas with our families! We will be back on Friday night for Saturday Dishes. If you can’t stand to be without us for that long and we know you can’t! (wink, wink) You can follow us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

Stopping by from the Sweet Tea Social. This Christmas has been one of faith for me. There are a lot of things going on right now that I need to trust God with and let him carry me through. So for me it is about hope, peace, and trust.

Being gracious to somebody is definitely more welcome than giving a gift during Christmas... Thanks for sharing.
