Gumdrop Flower Cookies are fun & easy cookie made from Sugar Cookies. But since you don’t use a cookie cutter it has more a real flower shape! This are perfect for Easter or any spring event!
We’ve been on quite a cookie kick here lately. Every since I made my Double Chocolate Cookies all I want to do it make cookies!! And I guess it’s rubbing off because my mom seems to be in on the cookie kick too.
These cookies were her idea and we made them for Easter and they turned out so fun & delicious!! You can cheat and use a cookie mix from the store or use your favorite sugar cookie recipe. This recipe is based off of “The World’s Best Sugar Cookies” recipe and really if you have the best recipe, why use anything else?
Once you get your dough made you’ll pinch off just a little and roll into a ball about an 1/8 of an inch to 1/4 of an inch. You’ll need five of these little balls for each cookie. Place them in a circle so they are touching each other.
Cut gumdrops in half and place a half gumdrop in the middle of the cookie! Bake at 350 for about 12 minutes or until edges are set and cookie is just starting to turn golden brown. Let sit on pan for a few minutes before moving to a cooling rack.
