All of my life, my mom has made this delicious creamy maple syrup.  It’s sweet, creamy, and so amazing!

I rarely had store bought syrup as a kid, because my mom kept us stocked with this homemade syrup.  Now that I’m a mom, and look at the labels on food from the store, I realize I would much rather have my kids eat this homemade syrup than the store bought kinds that often contain questionable ingredients.

Does Creamy Maple Syrup need to be refrigerated?

Yes, it does.  Because it contains evaporated milk, this creamy maple syrup will need to be kept in the fridge.  It lasts well in the fridge for several weeks.  In fact, I’ve used it when it’s older than that, and it’s still been good.

Homemade Creamy Maple Syrup is delicious served on Sweet Potato Waffles, Whole Wheat Pancakes, Sweet Milk Pancakes, and Pumpkin Pancakes.

Jacquelyn, That's not a dumb question at all! You're exactly right, it's a maple flavored extract. Thanks for the facebook follow!

Hi! Followed you over from Julia Kendrick.com blog hop. These looks great and easy enough to make, but dumb question, what is maple flavoring, like a maple flavored extract? Now following you on FB.
