A whole month of meals in one easy location. Nearly all meals have a recipe attached. A Monthly Meal Plan makes planning ahead so easy.
I am running behind this week. I was walking out the front door on Monday afternoon with Little Thing in my arms. It’s always a challenge to get out the door with her in my arms and get the door shut and locked. I try to do it all in one fluid motion without letting the screen door hit us. Sometimes the door doesn’t get all the way shut. And I have to open the screen door again and shut the door. Sometimes I forget to lock the door. And sometimes (really just once) I fall down. Monday was that day. That first step was more than I expected and I turned my ankle and fell. Little Thing was just fine. She wondered why we were sprawled out on the front porch, but not a scratch on her. Me on the other hand heard a crack as I went down. I also caught the screen door with my elbow leaving a large gash. And my ankle! Oh my ankle! I banged on the front door. It was easy reach. I was sitting right next to it. The Hardworking Husband opened the door and found me dying. The pain, oh the pain. He took the baby and then picked me up. I laid on the couch icing my ankle off and on for the next hour while I cried. Worse pain ever. Now mind you, I have not had kids. So this was the worst pain ever! I’m usually a suck it up and don’t cry kind of girl. Not on Monday. I cried and cried and cried. Little Thing could not figure out what was going on.
Needless to say, I did not go to the store that day. And I have not gone to the store yet this week. My mom and The HH have gone for me. I did go to the doctor on Tuesday and there are no broken bones. Just a good ole sprain. Now that I am confident there are no broken bones, I have been up doing more. I was even in the garden on Tuesday afternoon to pick tomatoes. So many tomatoes are ready. I may go to the store soon since I have enough dishwasher detergent for one more load. But I prefer not to be seen in public with this stupid aircast brace. Maybe I’ll wear my rubber boots to the store. They cover it nicely.
So I say all of this to say I’m late in posting my menu today. But life goes on.
