Do I have to use angel hair pasta to make Pesto Pasta?
Definitely not. We used angel hair because it’s a favorite with my kids, and because it is one of the fastest cooking pastas. You can substitute any pasta you’d like, whether that’s bow ties, macaroni, linguine, or any other pasta. Just follow the directions on the package to make sure you cook the pasta long enough.

- 1 lb. angel hair pasta
- 1 cup pesto
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- Add pasta, and cook according to directions (mine was 5 minutes).
- Drain well.
- Return to pot, and toss with pesto.
- Add cherry tomatoes, and serve.
