If you’ve been around our blog for long, you’ll know that we’re all about saving money whenever we can. That’s why I was so excited to learn about saving money with Giving Assistant.
Giving Assistant is a program that allows you to earn cash back on your purchases at more than 1,800 different online stores. Unlike a lot of programs where you earn money, Giving Assistant doesn’t require you to clip any coupons, scan any receipts, or deal with coupon codes that never work.
Giving Assistant is really easy to use. Join the program, find the store you’d like to buy from, make your purchases by going through their link, and get cash back.
When you first visit a retailer page, it will pop up a little information box. That box will tell you what percentage cash back you’ll make at that website, and if there are exclusions it will also be shown on this popup (some don’t give cash back on clearance items, etc). Check out this one from AbeBooks, where you earn a whopping 7% cash back!
And if you’ve never used AbeBooks before, let me tell you that it is awesome. I just bought a book for $3, and that included the shipping!
Once you close the popup, you’ll see a list of coupon codes you can take advantage of to earn even more money. Click on the one you want (if you want to), and it will tell you what the code is that you can copy and paste when you check out.
Follow through to the retailer and proceed to shop just like you normally would. Check out with the retailer within 24 hours, and you’ll earn cash back.
I’m sure you’re like me, and wondering what to do if that cash back doesn’t magically appear. If you don’t receive your cash back within 5 days, simply contact Giving Assistant (which is easy to do with their chat help feature), and they’ll help you get it!
At any time, you can check to see how much you’ve earned, by checking out your account. This is what that area will look like, and any cash back you’ve earned will show up.
You can have that amount sent to you via check or Paypal, or you can donate that amount to the charity of your choice! Simply go from your account into your settings, and set it up any way you’d like. You can even choose to donate a certain percentage of your earnings to charity, if you’d rather go that route.
Giving Assistant is so easy to use, and you can use it on many of your regular purchases to earn extra cash back! I bought from AbeBooks where you earn 7%. Some of the other sites I thought were awesome were Cost Plus World Market where you earn 8% and Starbucks where you can earn 3%!
Try it today! You have nothing to lose, since there is no cost involved in joining. Saving money with Giving Assistant is so easy!
