My grandmother used to make these pancakes for me when I was little and now my mom makes them for my kids. She got the recipe from her grandma who had it passed down to her too. I love this little tradition and I’m sure I will make them for my grand kids.
My kids love these so much that they beg me to make them for me all the time but I always say “only Grammy can make them.”
Sweet Milk Pancakes
A tradition in our family for grandmas to make these for their grandchildren.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 T flour
- 4 T milk
- Butter
- Sugar
Instructions
- Mix eggs, flour and milk well.
- Heat large skillet and coat with butter.
- Pour batter into pan.
- When edges start to curl and pancake seems about 80 percent done flip them over and cook the other side.
- Top with butter and sprinkle with sugar.
Notes
Yields: One very large pancake
Sweet Milk Pancakes are made very similar to crepes, for more info on making crepes check out Jamie’s tutorial on making & freezing crepes.
Here are some more pictures from our vacation so far.
It has been such a good time with my mom. The kids are having a blast getting to spend time with her.
