These Turkey Salsa Burger have so much flavor you won’t miss the ground beef, cheese, mayo, or even the bun!!
This is quickly becoming my new favorite lunch. I’ve always enjoyed turkey burgers but just don’t make them very often. I had picked up some ground turkey on sale a couple weeks ago and knew I wanted to make turkey burgers with them but also wanted a way to kick it up a notch!
I absolutely love the flavors the salsa and taco seasoning add to these burgers! And I love the creaminess the Greek yogurt adds to the salsa! Top them with avocado & onion and these burgers are GOOD! So good, I don’t even miss the cheese or the bun! Of course, you can use both of them if you’d rather. I skipped the cheese because of health issues and just don’t like buns enough to justify the added calories!
I grill my burgers on a grill pan on my stovetop. It makes it fast and makes it much easier if you are only making one or two. Amazon has quite a few grill pans (affiliate link) reasonably priced.
- 1/4 pound ground turkey
- Taco Seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon Greek Yogurt
- 2 Teaspoons Salsa
- Form your ground turkey into a burger patty. Season with taco seasoning, according to taste. I used quite a bit on mine. Grill burger.
- Meanwhile combine Greek yogurt and salsa. Mix well.
- Place burger on lettuce wrap or bun. Top with salsa mixture, avocado & onion.
I used homemade taco seasoning.
Ingredients listed are for one burger, if making a bunch adjust accordingly.
I listed the ingredients for making just one as I like to eat them for lunch and am often making just one. But it would be easy to adjust and make a whole bunch. In fact, I should make more when I do as my kids are always begging to eat mine!!
Hope you enjoy these!
