Sweet and fruity Virgin Mimosa Mocktails are a fun, kid-friendly fancy drink that’s perfect for a party!
Drinking fancy drinks from fancy glasses is fun for both adults and kids. I love putting together tasty mocktails to celebrate special occasions with my kids, like these Virgin Mimosa Mocktails. The occasion we celebrated was a pool party for the beginning of summer, and my kids thought it was fabulous.
This is one of the easiest mocktail recipes I’ve made. Once I looked in to what goes in a mimosa, I realized it’s a simple drink. Mimosas are usually made with sparkling wine, orange juice and Grand Marnier. The normal substitution for Grand Marnier is orange juice, so we went from 3 simple ingredients to just 2.
I substituted Sprite for the sparkling wine, but you could use 7-Up or even club soda (though club soda will result in less sweetness).
The trick to a fabulous mocktail is picking out fun glasses. Kids feel quite sophisticated when they get to drink out of fancy wine glasses!
Make your Virgin Mimosa Mocktails extra delicious by using fresh oranges and juicing them right before making this. Juicing by hand is actually really fun for kids, so get them involved!
- 12-ounce can of Sprite
- 1 1/2 cups orange juice
- Orange slices for garnish (optional)
- Mix together Sprite and orange juice.
- Pour into glasses and garnish with an orange slice if desired.
- Serve immediately.
