Apple Strudel

  • 2 sheets puff pastry 1 pkg, thawed

Apple mixture

  • 2 apples
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp flour

Sugar mixture

  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp plain bread crumbs

Egg Wash

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp water


  1. Preheat oven to 375.

  2. Peel, core, and chop apples into 1/2" cubes.

  3. In a medium bowl, mix apples, cinnamon sugar, and flour. Set aside.

  4. In a small bowl mix, sugars and bread crumbs. Set aside.

  5. Roll one of the puff pastries out to 12" x 10". 

  6. Sprinkle half the sugar mixture on half of the puff pastry. On the half that is 12" x 5". Pour half the apples on top of the sugar mixture. 

  7. Roll the puff pastry starting with the side with the apples. Pinch the ends shut. 

  8. In a small bowl, mix egg yolk and water. 

  9. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Brush with egg wash and cut slits in the top of the puff pastry.

  10. Bake for 40 minutes. 

  11. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
