Valentines Placemats for Kids with Printable
We had so much fun making our Thanksgiving Placemats, that I knew I wanted to make some more. With Valentine's Day just around the corner, now seemed like a good time!
This one starts with a printable as the base too. In fact, you could just use the printable placemat and be done, especially if you wanted to make these for a school valentine's party or another kids valentine's party.
There is a line for their name and circles for them to write or draw who they love. I did this craft with my younger too so I had to write all the stuff for them. There is both a color and black and white version of the printable. As you can see in the pictures, we used the black and white version, only because I'm completely out of color ink. Boo!

If you want to jazz your Valentines placemat up a bit
You will need:
- construction paper
- scrapbook paper
- glue or tape.
How to:
- Cut one piece of construction in half longs ways. Fold accordion style. Draw and cut out hearts being sure to leave a small edge uncut. Do this again with the other half. Attach this to the long sides of your placemat.
- For the smaller sides. Cut your construction paper is half short ways and then cut in half again. Fold accordion style and continue instructions from above.
- Then cut out scrapbook paper hearts for the corners and attach with tape or glue.
And that's it!
Since I was doing this with my 2 and 4 yr olds, I did most of the cutting but I'm sure my 5 yr old will want to do this later and I'll let her help with the cutting.
If you want these to last, you'll need to laminate or cover with contact paper. I haven't done this yet but I plan on covering them with contact paper like I did with the Thanksgiving ones, which are still going strong.
