Automate Social Media Sharing with CoSchedule

We’ve been blogging for almost 4 years!  It’s so hard to believe that it’s been so long since Kerry, Jamie and I decided to venture into the land of blogging, and it’s been amazing how much we’ve learned through the years.

One of the first things about blogging we learned is that blogging is about so much more than just writing good content.  Good content will never be seen if it isn’t pushed and pushed hard on social media.

And the truth is, the one thing that we’ve always struggled with is social promotion.  While we’ve done a good job on Pinterest, our social media promotion in general has always been lacking.  We might share a new post to Facebook & Twitter once or twice and that was about it.

Over the years, we’ve tried different apps or plugins to increase our social sharing but none of them really worked for us.  This year, we decided we had to get serious about upping our social media game.  No more blogging great content and then having it fall through the cracks of cyber space.  This year, we’re going to push our blog posts hard on social media.

And that’s where CoSchedule comes in.  CoSchedule is a fabulous tool that we believe every blogger needs.

WordPress Plugin

CoSchedule works so well with WordPress.  It has a great drag & drop editorial calendar that completely replaced our old editorial calendar.  It has all our social media shares on that same calendar, so we can see everything we have going on that day.

It’s also right at the bottom of the post when you are editing, so can easily share all the social shares for that post when it goes live.  You can do it all ahead of time & not have to worry about posting it to all your social media on the day it publishes.

No going to Facebook to post there, then jumping to Twitter to post there, then going to Pinterest to schedule a pin, etc.  You can do it all right from WordPress using CoSchedule!

Automate Social Media Sharing

But my favorite thing about CoSchedule is that we can automate social media sharing using the requeue option. There is a button you can click on any of your social media shares to add that share to your requeue groups.  Then CoSchedule will automatically re-share your post over and over again.  You can also set up your settings to decide how often your posts get re-shared.

 

We are setting up all our new evergreen content to requeue.  I’ve already gone back and added social media campaigns for some of our top posts and because of the requeue CoSchedule is automatically re-sharing them every so often.  This will be a huge time saver as it used to take me hours to do just our Facebook scheduling for the week or month!

I love CoSchedule! It makes social media so so easy! I wouldn't be able to do it all without it!
