Granola Bites: A no-bake snack

Granola bites are sometimes called energy bites. They're packed full of energy-giving ingredients, which makes them a great snack for busy days when you need extra energy. We love taking them on hikes.
Granola bites: A no-bake treat the whole family will enjoy.
Granola bites are a hit with everyone who tries them.
My kids love them. I love them. My husband loves them. I love that they are something yummy that doesn't require heating the house up so much by baking (if you've been around our blog long, you'll know that I have a bit of a baking addiction).
I made these for my sister and her kids, and they all loved them and started making them, too.
Can you make different kinds of granola bites?
Definitely! In fact, we have made several different kinds of granola bites!
Try out these fruity granola bites that have dried cranberries and mangoes in them.
Or maybe you'd rather try these Almond Joy granola bites with Nutella, coconut, and chopped almonds.
Should I use regular rolled oats, quick oats, or instant oats to make granola bites?
You can choose to use any kind of oats, though the end result will be a bit different with each. Regular oats will give you quite a chewy product, so I would recommend that if you only have regular rolled oats, you may want to run them through the food processor before you use them, so they're a bit smaller and not as chewy.
Instant or quick oats will result in a better end product, so I would recommend those, if you don't want to run the food processor, or if you don't have one.

Granola Bites are a great, healthy snack that is easy to make! Packed full of oats, flax seed, coconut, peanut butter, and more, this snack is packed full of energy!
Ingredients

- ½ cup flax seed
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup peanut butter
- ¼ cup honey

Instructions
- If using old fashioned oats, pulse in food processor several times, then transfer to a large bowl.
- Stir in coconut, flax seed, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add peanut butter, and honey, and mix well.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Put in the fridge for 30 minutes. Then roll into small balls (I used a small ice cream scoop, then rolled them between my palms).
- Store in the fridge in an air-tight container for up to a week.
