Get the whole family excited for the Big Tournament with OREO Basketballs & Taste the Madness Bingo!!
We love March around here. Not only is it the start of spring, and a month full of family birthdays but it’s also basketball tournament time. We love watching the Big Tournament! We love filling out brackets & competing against our family & friends.
My oldest son has been filling out brackets & competing with us for the last several years. But I really wanted to get my younger three children & their friends more involved this year. I wanted to get them excited for the Big Tournament too. So I made these fun “Taste the Madness” Bingo cards. As they watch the games, they can put Mini OREOs over the squares when they see that action during the game!

Also a big part of Big Tournament watching for us is the snacks!! Coca-Cola Zero™ & OREO are must haves for us! We headed to Albertsons to pick up our game watching snacks. Our Albertsons had an awesome display right inside the front door made with Coke Zero & other Coca-Cola products! After we grabbed our Coke Zero, we grabbed Mini OREOs to use as bingo markers, regular OREOs – for a special basketball treat!
I thought it would be fun to make basketballs with OREOs. We used candy melts, OREOs, food coloring, & a frosting pen to make the super cute OREO basketballs.
OREO Basketballs
Ingredients
- 15-20 OREOs
- 1 cup candy melts, or melting white chocolate
- Oil, if needed
- Food Coloring, Red & Yellow or Orange
- Black Frosting Pen
Instructions
- Insert toothpicks in the cream filling middle of the OREOs and place OREOs in the freezer for 30 minutes to an hour. This will make dipping easier.
- Melt candy melts in a double boiler or the Microwave. Add a little bit of oil to thin, if needed.
- Add food coloring until desired orange color is reached.
- Holding the toothpick, dip OREO in melted candy & place on wax paper to set.
- Once candy is set, use the frosting pen to add the basketball stripes.
