I love peach desserts, but I’m not particularly fond of a cobbler, because it just has too much breading.  I prefer crisps, with their oaty, brown sugar topping.  It’s just mouth watering!
 
Add some vanilla ice cream on this while it’s warm, and it’s perfection!

This peach pie crisp is made easily with either canned peach pie filling or our homemade freezable peach pie filling.  Dump the pie filling in the pan, whip up the topping and spread it over, and you’ve got a delicious homemade dessert in the oven in no time!

Peach Pie Crisp

A sweet and delicious dessert recipe, Peach Pie Crisp combines peach pie filling with a crispy oat topping, with amazing results!

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes
Total Time 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 can peach pie filling or 1 pkg of freezable peach pie filling, thawed
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375º.
  2. Pour peach filling into 8x8 baking dish sprayed with no-stick spray.
  3. Combine dry ingredients and mix in butter. Spread over peach filling.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes. Serve warm and with ice cream if desired.

I’m always a little sad when the end of summer comes near.  I’m never ready for winter to be coming.  However, one thing about the end of summer that I always look forward to is peaches.
