I don’t know about you, but cooking isn’t my favorite aspect of life (I love baking, but just don’t love cooking), so quick and easy recipes are my favorite.  These Sloppy Joes pull together in less than 30 minutes start to finish!

I love Sloppy Joes, but I’m not a big fan of the ones made with tons of ketchup.  They just taste too ketchupy!  So I decided to try making them with tomato sauce instead, to give them a bit more mellow tomato taste, and my whole family loved them.

Serve your Sloppy Joes on a bun or a hoagie roll, or even over rice– you’ll love them any way!

What sides go with Sloppy Joes?

Sloppy Joes go well with a variety of side dishes.  We love to eat them with Broccoli Jicama Coleslaw, Broccoli Salad, Carrot Salad, or Air Fryer Spiralized French Fries.  Pretty much anything crunchy or crispy will go well with Easy Sloppy Joes.

Do You Drain the Meat for Sloppy Joes?

Yes.  You will cook the ground beef, and then drain the fat off of it before adding seasonings.  If you don’t drain the meat, you’ll end up with a soupy, greasy mess.

So simple and yet so delicious. I love sloppy joe sandwiches. We enjoy them with broccoli typically. It's been a while since we made them. Thanks for the reminder :)

We love sloppy joes! They are so easy to make. I love having chips as a side, and overfilling the sloppy joes so we can scoop the meat up with the chips.
