I went a little crazy with the red, white, & blue stuff this year. {Check out my red, white, & blue star cookies, kids place-mats and napkin rings, and Jamie’s patriotic wreath.} But normally, I don’t. Normally, I’m searching at the last minute for something super easy to make to be festive on the 4th of July. These USA Cookies are perfect, for that last minute 4th of July treat. Or really they are perfect for anytime you want a simple, yet cute & fun USA treat! They would even be perfect to whip up for the USA vs Belgium World Cup match today. In fact, I may just whip up another batch for that myself and my watch party! Ok, really my watch party is my kids and me and maybe my mom but still we need a fun USA treat, right?
To make these USA Cookies, you will need your favorite sugar cookie recipe or a cookie mix from the store. Personally, I’m partial to the “World’s Best Sugar Cookies” recipe Kerry shared, as it was my grandma’s recipe but if you want to make this even easier the store bought mix will work just fine. Then all else you need is white almond bark (Almond Bark Vanilla – affliate link), blue sprinkles, and a red decorating gel, such as this Wilton Red Gel Tube (affiliate link). Yep, that’s it!
